MANILA, Philippines - Malacañang appealed to the public to put an end to the hacking of government and non-government websites amid the ongoing tension between the Philippines and China.
Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte said they are not pinpointing any one, whether Filipino or Chinese, but appealed to stop hacking both Chinese and Filipino websites.
“We’re not pinpointing to anybody but to whoever is responsible, this does not help anybody. It does not seek to facilitate to any resolution to the incident in Panatag (Shoal) so itigil na natin yung mga ganitong gawain [let’s stop these kinds of activities],” Valte said.
