PAGADIAN CITY, Philippines - Irate victims of Aman Futures have ransacked an office and house rented by the alleged "pyramiding scam" company in Pagadian City.
Office caretaker Isagani Dayagdag said people took everything they can from the house after Aman staff fled the units.
"Ninakaw po lahat. TV, ref, aircon, mga pinggan, pati mga kawad ng kuryente, kinuha," he said.
Dayagdag said the owner did not have any idea that his house will be used as headquarters of Aman Futures.
The company also did not tell the owner that it will be used as a business office.
The house located in Barangay Kawit, Pagadian City has now been padlocked by the owner with signages of "no trespassing" placed around the perimeter.
Almost 9,000 investors have already filed their complaint against Aman Futures at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) office in Pagadian City as of noon Friday.
Religious group, politicians tagged
NBI officer Joey Moran said they are now investigating the alleged involvement of a religious group in the scheme after investigators received complaints that the church organization encouraged members to join the spurious money-making scheme.
Moran, however declined to mention the religious group, so as not to jeopardize their investigation.
