Newspaper dealer wins P15-M jackpot

Manila, Philippines – For 17 years and a P200 bet a day, he frequented lottery outlets hoping to hit the jackpot.
On Nov. 5, he struck gold, hitting the P15,143,142.60 jackpot in the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw last November 5.
The winner is a 45-year-old newspaper dealer from Bulacan.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the winner claimed his prize last Friday at the PCSO in Pasay City.
PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II handed the winner’s check.
The winner told Rojas that he has been a lotto follower since 1995 and spending P200 a day.
Patience paid off on November 5 as one of his bets worth P40 correctly guessed the winning combination 2-45-44-13-27-24, some numbers of which are the birth dates of his loved ones.
