Mechanic wins Grand Lotto jackpot

Manila, Philippines – A 27-year-old motorcycle mechanic won one-half or P30,127,365 of the P60,254,730 jackpot in the Grand Lotto 6/55 draw last Wednesday.
The former fisherman from Samar who arrived in Metro Manila four years ago for greener pastures had two Grand Lotto bets worth P40 and one of them was the winning combination 29-30-14-28-7-25.
The winner, a resident of a slum area in Las Piñas City, claimed his prize with his sister and brother-in-law at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in Pasay City last Thursday. PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II handed over the winner’s check.
The other Grand Lotto jackpot winner last Wednesday has yet to claim the other half.
