Driver claims share of P149-M lotto pot

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has announced that a 52-year-old driver from Abucay, Bataan claimed last Thursday his more than P149-million share of the jackpot of the 6/55 Grand Lotto online lottery draw.
The other half of the jackpot drawn Wednesday night that was bagged by a player from Southern Leyte has not yet been claimed.
PCSO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II yesterday said the Bataan driver and the still unidentified player from Leyte both beat the 28 million-to-one odds when they hit the winning number combination 25-52-26-05-49-17 worth a total of P299,897,496.
The driver arrived last Thursday afternoon at the PCSO central office at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City to claim his share of the jackpot worth P149,948,748.
