MANILA, Philippines—Two bettors from Luzon won the back-to-back SuperLotto 6/49 and Lotto 6/42 draws on Tuesday night, winning more than P42 million between them, according to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

PCSO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II said its computer system showed the winning ticket for the 6/49 draw, having the numbers 04-12-19-24-28-42, was bought in Marikina City. The winning ticket for the 6/42 game, with the combination 02-13-15-19-25-41, was purchased in Laguna.

The winners for the SuperLotto and Lotto games stood to gain P39.4 million and P3 million, respectively. The jackpot prizes are tax-free.

Last week, a man claimed his winnings of P14.6 million at PCSO after hitting the jackpot for the MegaLotto 6/45 game.

The 55-year-old father of two picked the combination of 07-14-20-27-38-44, which was drawn on April 25, Rojas said.

“He became more determined to bet after winning two almost-jackpots in the ten years he has been betting,” Rojas recalled being told by the winner.

“That’s why I felt that I would eventually win the jackpot when my numbers get picked,” Rojas quoted the winner as telling him.

The man said he would use his winnings for the education of his children and give some of it to charity.
