Manila, Philippines – A P10 change enabled a 57-year-old apartment owner from Lipa City, Batangas to win the P3,390,093 Lotto 6/42 jackpot last Tuesday.

Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II learned that the winner, married with three children, has been a lotto follower since 1995.

Rojas said that the winner placed P990 worth of bets and paid P1,000. The winner had a P10 change but the lotto teller had no more coins.

“Sir, I have no more coins. If you like, just have another bet,” the winner related. He agreed and asked her to place a lucky pick bet. It turned out to be the winning numbers 8-23-20-21-2-33.

The winner plans to donate some amount for victims of typhoon “Pablo.”

Meanwhile, a female promodizer from Laguna won one-half of the P4.5-million Mega Lotto 6/45 jackpot last December 31.

She correctly guessed the winning combination 5-17-13-08-123.

The winner told the PCSO that she will continue her studies as she wants to be a teacher someday. She also plans to buy a lowcost house. (Edd K. Usman)
