President Rodrigo Duterte will identify less than 10 officials allegedly involved in corrupt activities in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Malacañang said Thursday.
Duterte’s spokesperson Salvador Panelo said the president mentioned it “in passing” in his speech at the Joint 69th National Security Council and 70th National Intelligence Coordinating Agency founding anniversary on Wednesday.
The event was closed to the media.
“Iyon lang ang sinabi niya. He didn’t elaborate on that. So let’s just wait for the announcement of the president,” Panelo told reporters.
Asked if the concerned PCSO officials will be placed under preventive suspension, Panelo said: “He didn’t mention anything on that aspect.”
Panelo earlier said Duterte would name the people involved in “massive corruption” in the PCSO “in due time.”
