Five policemen from the Novaliches Police Station in Quezon City have been relieved after the controversial arrest and death of Genesis “Tisoy” Agoncillo inside the jail facility, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said.
“Five of them were relieved of their position effective June 21, pending investigation on the case,” QCPD Director Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel said in a press briefing at Camp Karingal on Friday.
“The QCPD reiterates it is conducting a thorough investigation on the death of Agoncillo. We will investigate everyone involved, including the police on duty, until the truth comes out, and prosecute the guilty to the full extent of the law” Esquivel added. /kga
