The feisty and furious Ms. Curtis

I’ve been thinking lately that the star Anne Curtis is getting close to being overexposed, that she’s all over the place. Which could cause not only her own burnout but also the sating of the public appetite and admiration.
Ms. Curtis is a feisty one, a tough cookie. When the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (what a mouthful!) took to task for what the board had deemed objectionable a noontime show (“Showtime,” I believe) in which she was a star, she openly displayed defiance against the MTRCB’s action. You could see the defiance on her face, and the defiance looked intentional.
I’m not familiar with movies or actors here (I often ask “Who is he/she?” when an entertainer’s name is mentioned in conversation). And I’m not familiar with Ms. Curtis’ work in the cinema either so I have no comment on her acting abilities. I know that she has tried her hand, or more precisely her throat, at singing.
And I know that she is in a lot of advertisements and commercials. She’s really all over the place.
Just like Kris Aquino, Sarah Geronimo, Toni Gonzaga and a couple of others. They’re all on billboards that assault the eyes while driving along city roads. (Incidentally, whatever happened to the bill sponsored by Sen. Miriam Santiago banning huge billboards on city roads that distract motorists? They’re not only eyesores, they’re safety hazards.)
