A Napier Lotto player has received a hefty payday this weekend after winning $10 million in Saturday night's Lotto draw.
The winning ticket was sold at Napier City Pak'n'Save, with $333,333 made up from first division, and $10,047,028 from Powerball.
The winner didn't know he had scooped the big one until he went into the store to check his ticket.
NZ Lotteries spokeswoman Katy Atkin said the winner, who has opted to remain anonymous for the time being, was "completely shocked and blown away" by the news.
He contacted the Lotteries Commission this morning to arrange for collection of the prize, but was yet to decide what he and his partner would do with the money.
However, he assured he would "definitely be at work" on Monday.
Two other first division winners also won $333,333 from the draw, with the tickets sold at Countdown Westgate in Auckland and Whanganui New World.
"Powerball has had an amazing run of winners in 2012," NZ Lotteries chief executive Wayne Pickup said.
"Since Trevor in Te Kauwhata won $26 million in late March, we've also had a $5.5 million winner in Christchurch and a $5.3 million winner from Balclutha."
Strike Four was not struck this week and jackpotted to $500,000.
Meanwhile, a taxi driver from Auckland spun and won a $100,000 Credit Card for one of their customers on the Winning Wheel at the live draw in Wellington.
