Virginia lottery winner, Virginia Fike, knows exactly how it feels. You see, Virginia of Berryville, Virginia, played the same Powerball numbers twice, albeit mistakenly, nevertheless, both tickets were $1,000,000 winners!
Fike stopped to buy her lottery tickets at Olde Stone Truck Stop on Martinsburg Pike in Clear Brook, Virginia, for the April 7th drawing. She thought she was buying one Powerball ticket and the lucky Mega Millions winning numbers, but she ended up buying two Powerball tickets for the same drawing instead.
She was visiting her Mom in the hospital when the Powerball winning numbers were announced and that there were two $1,000,00 Virginia lottery winners. She said to her Mom, "Wouldn't it be funny if it was us?" Fike told Virginia Lottery officials, "I'm in shock!" Wouldn't you be in shock if you just found out you won $2,000,000 too?
