MANILA, Philippines - A 47-year-old vendor from Taytay, Rizal claimed yesterday her share, about P67 million, of the jackpot prize of the 6/55 Grand Lotto, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said.

Jose Ferdinand Rojas, PCSO general manager, said aside from claiming her half of the P134,624,790.00 jackpot, she also won an additional P500,000 for her system 8 bet for the 01-55-11-03-27-49 winning combination.

Rojas said the vendor was watching the live draw of the lotto with her husband when they learned they won the jackpot.

“The couple had sleepless nights, they double checked the result in the newspapers before claiming the prize,” he said.

The vendor, who celebrated her birthday yesterday, plans to buy a space in the market to sell her goods and save the rest in the bank, Rojas said.

A 60-year-old power supply employee from Makati also claimed his share of the jackpot prize.

The retiree wants to share his winnings with children and help the medical needs of his 91-year-old father.
