MANILA, Philippines --- A foreman in Cebu province is planning to give back to charity after collecting his P13,644,878.40 winnings Friday from the Lotto 6/42 draw on May 19.

An information from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the fortunate bettor had a R10 bet for one 6/42 combination that matched the drawn numbers of 40-26-15-37-24-32.

The office of PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II relayed to journalists yesterday that the bettor won through a “Lucky Pick” bet, where the lotto computer chooses the numbers.

He has been betting on the lotto since 1995, when online lottery was introduced by the State charity agency, it was learned.

A staff of Rojas said the PCSO general felt happy upon hearing that the winner, aside from planning to invest in a business, also revealed his plans to give part of his winnings to charitable organizations.

The staff said Rojas has been suggesting to lotto jackpot winners to thank God for their good fortune, help their relatives, and share their good fortune to charity.

He said that the PCSO official handed the check to the Cebu winner before noon time Friday.
